Job summary

Simmons Foods is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead an assigned production team, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity in all processing, packaging, and storage operations in compliance with FDA/USDA guidelines. The role focuses on scheduling, attendance, and day-to-day leadership while driving lean initiatives, cost control, and continuous improvement across departments.

Strong English communication and the ability to read and interpret reports are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or 4 years related work experience with at least 1 year in a leading role.
• Preferred experience in a food processing organization.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with LEAN concepts and production management.

Responsibilities

• Leads a team of front-line employees to meet daily production requirements.
• Schedules, tracks attendance, and approves time off for direct reports.
• Supervises processing, packaging, and storage activities for quality and safety.
• Maintains inventory records and requisitions supplies as needed.
• Reviews daily production against customer requirements and reports on throughput.
• Promotes a safe work environment and adheres to safety regulations.
