Job summary

fairlife, LLC, a Chicago-based nutrition company, is building a new Webster, NY facility and seeks a Packaging Material Operator to manage raw materials and packaging supply for filling lines. The role requires forklift operation, inventory control, and adherence to GMP and safety standards.

Day shift with a rotating schedule, on-site in Webster, NY. Responsibilities include material handling, proper storage, maintaining documentation, and supporting with downstream equipment while training new

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to coordinate packaging material needs after training.
• Ability to troubleshoot small problems and escalate as needed.
• Must possess or be able to obtain an Industrial Truck Operator License.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in English reading and writing.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety, GMP rules and directions from Supervisors.
• Safely operate forklifts to move and stage material.
• Maintain FIFO rotation of raw materials and inventory.
• Ensure proper storage and accurate paperwork.
• Communicate inventory and production order risks with supervisor.
• Keep packaging infeed areas clean and orderly.
• Conduct monthly and yearly housekeeping audits.
• Learn to operate downstream packaging or processing equipment as needed.
• Assist with training of new personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
