Job summary

Pioneer Metal Finishing is seeking a dependable packager for 1st shift in Oregon. You will unload finished parts, package according to specs, label items, and keep a clean area. This is a hands-on role with safety as a priority, offering growth within a stable surface finishing leader.

No prior manufacturing experience is required; entry-level candidates are welcome. Earn $18/hour with performance/pay review after 90 days and same-day pay, with occasional Saturdays as needed to support

Responsibilities

• Unracking: Remove finished parts from production racks safely and efficiently; inspect for defects; sort and prepare for packaging or next step.
• Packaging: Package parts according to work instructions and customer specs; apply labels and maintain a clean packing area; operate packaging tools as needed.
• Quality Inspection: Visually inspect for defects; use basic measuring tools to verify dimensions; report non-conforming parts.
• General labour: Follow safety procedures; work in a fast-paced environment with attention to quality and teamwork.

Overview

As a Packer, you will perform the following functions:

Unracking:

• Remove finished parts from production racks safely and efficiently.
• Inspect parts during unracking for visible defects or damage.
• Sort and organize unracked parts for packaging or next process step

Packaging:

• Package parts according to work instructions, customer specifications, and safety guidelines.
• Apply labels, tags, or other identification as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized packaging area.
• Operate packaging tools and equipment as needed.

Quality Inspection:

• Perform visual inspections to identify defects such as scratches, dents, or coating issues.
• Use basic measuring tools (e.g., calipers, gauges) to verify product dimensions when required.
• Record inspection results and report non-conforming parts to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow quality control procedures and elevate issues as necessary.
• This is a hands-on, fast-paced general labor position in a manufacturing environment — perfect for someone dependable, safety-focused, and ready to work.

What to Expect on the Job:

• Repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs
• Exposure to heat, noise, and industrial equipment
• Work around sharp parts, heavy carts, and process lines
• Use of hearing protection and other safety equipment
• A team-oriented environment where attitude matters
• Sharp parts, sharp tooling, heavy carts, occasional hot and cold temperature and humidity levels, heat from ovens, moderate noise levels, limited hand and air tool use, compressed air (must use hearing protection).
• Various chemicals used in process.
