Job summary

The Pictsweet Company is hiring a Packaging Technician to join our Repack maintenance team in Bells, TN. You will maintain and repair packaging lines and related equipment to ensure optimal production and safety standards.

Candidates should have experience in high-speed production, be familiar with hydraulic/pneumatic systems, PLCs, and Fanuc robotics. Forklift certification and ability to work extended hours may be required.

Qualifications

• English communication skills, written and verbal.
• Basic mathematical ability.
• Practical understanding of mechanical operations, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical controls and PLCs.
• Ability to excel in a cooperative team environment.
• Forklift driver assessment required.
• Ability to make decisions under pressure and provide leadership.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair hydraulic systems, weigh machines, packaging machines, metal detectors, pneumatic systems, material handling systems, electrical controls and PLCs.
• Develop solutions to limit downtime and improve production.
• Daily maintenance and repair of assigned packaging lines to ensure optimum production and quality.
• Evaluate mechanical performance and plan adjustments.
• Maintain mechanical records and reports.
• Handle special projects as assigned.
• Communicate with plant supervision regarding production; anticipate and resolve problems.
• Ensure a safe workplace following all safety plans and standards.
• Collaborate with supervisors, maintenance, operators to optimize packaging equipment.
