Job summary

The Pictsweet Company is seeking a machine operator to join our packaging team. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining the packaging line, setting up lines for production, and running multiple lines as needed.

Responsibilities include monitoring equipment and product quality, performing minor repairs, and ensuring safety standards. Weekend and extended hours may be required in a cold facility environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a machine operator or related craft.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the packaging line(s) and associated equipment.
• Set up lines for production runs and run multiple lines.
• Monitor equipment, product, and packaging; ensure safety, quality and production standards.
• Perform basic mechanical duties including repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Operate ink jet coders and case printers; communicate line progress to supervision.
• Develop solutions to minimize downtime and meet efficiency targets.
