Job summary

JOHN B SANFILIPPO & SON, INC is seeking a Machine Operator I to operate, lead, and maintain packaging machinery and a production line at our Elgin, IL facility. You will ensure equipment runs efficiently, meet quality and KPIs, and supervise Level I operators.

Responsibilities include machine setup, preventive maintenance, quality control, sanitation, and documentation. Excellent attention to safety and teamwork required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain packaging machinery and production line.
• Set up machines, adjust settings, and perform preventive maintenance.
• Ensure quality and production KPIs are met with minimal supervision.
• Direct and train Line I operators.
• Maintain sanitation and safety compliance.
• Complete required pre- and post-production documentation.
• Load materials and manage waste per standards.
• Clean and maintain work area.
