Job summary

Pratt Industries is seeking a full-time Machine Operator in the Rockwall, TX area. The role involves running converting machines, setup, operation, cleanup, and recommending improvements to operations.

Responsibilities include setup, die-cutting operations, die inspection, maintaining equipment, data entry, and cross-training on other machines. Eligible employees gain access to a wide benefits package, with insurance and 401(k) options, eligible after one month of hire.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in packaging environment preferred.
• Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
• Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
• May be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License.

Responsibilities

• Set-up rails, print, and die cut section on converting machine accurately in accordance with proper setup techniques.
• Inspect dies before and after run to ensure repairs are made before the next run.
• Ensure bolts for cutting dies are in place and tightly secured.
• Monitor box quality, including loose liner, warp, correct size and print.
• Maximize equipment utilization by operating at full capacity and speed.
• Cross-train on other machines and assist teammates as needed.
• Complete reports (Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, Quality Data).
• Adhere to production schedule and suggest improvements to meet cost, quality, and service goals.
