Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. in Rockwall, TX seeks a Machine Operator/Helper to run converting machines, with setup, operation, cleanup, and improvements. Previous experience with Flexo or folder/glue machinery is preferred, but training is provided. Starting rate is $20.00 per hour plus shift differential.

You will work 11:30 PM–7:30 AM, with OT as needed, and qualify for a full benefits package.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a packaging environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up rails, print, and die cut section on converting machine accurately.
Inspect all dies before and after run to ensure repairs are made before next run.
Ensure bolts for cutting dies are in place and secured.
Monitor box quality including loose liner, warp, size and print.
Maximize equipment utilization by operating at capacity and speed.
Cross-train on other machines.
Complete reports such as Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, Quality Data.
Submit maintenance work orders for needed repairs and be proactive in equipment maintenance.
Adhere to production schedule and suggest improvements to meet cost, quality and service goals.
Follow safety and housekeeping policies; perform additional duties as assigned by management.
