Job summary

PepsiCo in Lynchburg, VA is seeking a hands-on Packaging Operator to run multiple packaging lines, verify dates, seal quality, and bag products for Lay's, Doritos and Cheetos. You will keep a clean and safe work area and participate in on‑the‑job training.

The role requires endurance for long shifts, standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs, plus changeovers and basic maintenance with safety gear. Benefits are competitive.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
  • Set up and operate packaging machines with accuracy.
  • Read and follow dates, weights, and packaging specs.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and wear PPE as required.
  • On-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

  • Run packaging lines and perform quality checks.
  • Ensure products are dated, sealed, and packed correctly.
  • Perform basic line maintenance and changeovers.
  • Inspect conveyors, scales, and equipment before use.
  • Troubleshoot simple line issues and adjust as needed.

Minimum QualificationsYou are at least 18 years of age or olderYou will be required to work on weekends, holidays as well as off shiftYou are mechanically inclined and can think that way.
