Job summary

KLN Family Brands in Delano, MN is hiring a Packaging Machine Operator for 1st shift (5 AM–3 PM, Mon–Thu). This full-time role offers $21.83 per hour and involves operating and setting up packaging equipment, ensuring quality, and meeting daily production targets.

You will work with the packaging team to maintain safety, sanitation, and GMP practices, perform line maintenance, complete daily reports, and support training of line personnel as needed.

Responsibilities

• General knowledge of daily extrusion and production reports.
• Communicate with Supervisor / packaging lead on all production concerns.
• Starting and setting up all required equipment for production.
• Controlling packaging materials, code dates, expiration dates, stickers and any items unique to product specifications.
• Controls product quality, packaging quality, contamination, weight controls and line efficiency.
• Perform sanitation duties on the line and assist maintenance personnel.
• Complete daily reports in legible manner and assist in training line personnel.
• Coordinate record keeping for cleaning schedule, packaging yields and efficiency.
• Assist Supervisor / Packaging lead as needed to control packaging area.
• Attend safety trainings and follow all safety instructions and policies.
• Keep work area clean and free of debris.
• Attend food safety trainings and follow GMPs.
