Job summary

Fresh Express in South Carolina is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator for 1st shift (7:00 AM – finish). The successful candidate will independently operate identified packaging machines and related equipment on the production line.

You will ensure proper coding and labeling, inspect settings for accuracy, and complete required safety, food safety, and quality documentation. Participation in process improvement or new product testing is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Must have basic mechanical troubleshooting skills and know basic math such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, simple formulas, and conversions.
• Must take a written test to demonstrate proficiency.
• Must have ability to accurately track downtime and performance indicators.
• Must be able to successfully speak, read and write English at the level of work instructions, diagrams and related equipment documentation and support materials.

Responsibilities

• Operate identified packaging machines independently and support equipment as assigned.
• Inspect settings for codes, dates, leaks, oxygen levels, and seals to ensure proper operation.
• Complete safety, food safety, production, maintenance and other documentation as required.
• Participate in process improvement projects or new product testing.
• Assist higher level Operators as needed and execute changeovers for production needs.
