Job summary

D&W Fine Pack in Fountain Inn, SC, is seeking a Machine Operator to operate thermoforming and extrusion equipment and support production goals. You will troubleshoot basic issues, monitor speeds, and perform quality checks to ensure GMP standards and food safety compliance.

The role offers 12‑hour shifts with night differential where applicable and opportunities to learn new processes while advancing with a safety‑driven team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of manufacturing or machine operation experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn new equipment and processes.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
• Basic computer skills.
• Flexibility to work overtime and rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate thermoforming and extrusion equipment in accordance with plant safety procedures, PPE requirements, and LOTO protocols.
• Start, stop, monitor, and adjust machines to ensure efficient operation; troubleshoot basic issues and report malfunctions to a supervisor.
• Follow emergency procedures for power outages, equipment failures, and workplace incidents; report all safety concerns or injuries immediately.
• Read job specifications and maintain proper machine settings to support production efficiency, meet production goals, and minimize scrap.
• Feed materials, monitor machine speeds, and perform general production tasks including packing products as needed.
• Perform quality checks and inspections to ensure products meet specifications, GMP standards, and food safety requirements.
• Complete logs, reports, and required documentation accurately.
• Handle materials and operate equipment such as lift trucks (or willingness to learn).
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and perform basic preventive maintenance tasks.
• Communicate operational, safety, and quality issues promptly and assist team members as needed.
• Participate in safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives, including hazard identification and food safety programs.
