Packaging Machine Operators are essential to our success at Frito-Lay! They are responsible for setting up and operating packaging machines and scales to produce high-quality packages efficiently. This role offers growth opportunities within Frito-Lay and PepsiCo.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multiple packaging machines to ensure accurate coding, weighing, and proper bagging of products
• Ensure products are correctly dated and sealed with minimal waste
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on machinery
• Wear protective gear when handling chemicals for cleaning and sanitizing
• Inspect conveyors and scales before start-ups and changeovers
• Troubleshoot and make operational adjustments as needed

Role Details

This is a physical, 24-hour operation environment. You should be comfortable working near heavy machinery in a loud, temperature-variable setting, often on your feet for extended periods and at heights.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 18 years old
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and various shifts
• Mechanical aptitude and preferably 1+ year of machine operation experience in a high-speed environment
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand, walk, climb, bend, reach, and handle products repeatedly
• Basic math skills and proficiency in English
