Description

We are seeking motivated, detail-oriented individuals eager to learn and grow. The Daisy Brand Packaging Team manages a 24/7 production operation, offering an average of 45 hours/week and opportunities for personal and professional development with state-of-the-art equipment.

The Machine Operator, or Packaging Technician, is responsible for staging products, setting up and operating filling machines, cleaning, and sanitizing equipment. You will work with a team managing the packaging of sour cream and cottage cheese.

Principal Duties:

• Set up, troubleshoot, operate, and change over automated filling, box forming, and packing equipment.
• Load packaging materials manually (cups, foil, shippers, etc.).
• Stage supplies using pallet jacks.
• Perform and record production and quality controls.
• Clean and sterilize equipment manually and in place.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Follow food safety, GMPs, housekeeping, and safety protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; maintenance background preferred.
• Packaging machine operation and troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Attention to detail in machine operation and package quality.
• Ability to follow GMP and safety requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand, bend, and twist throughout shifts.
• Ability to multitask and work in a team.
• Experience in food/dairy production preferred.

Pay Rate:

Starting from $20/hr for entry-level positions, with a 10% premium for off-hours and 15% for weekend work.
