Job summary

Newly Weds Foods is seeking a packaging associate to efficiently meet customer orders by stacking product at the end of packaging lines. You will rotate to other pack line positions as needed to maintain throughput and quality.

The role requires standing and walking in a warehouse environment, lifting up to 55 lbs, and occasional heavier pushes/pulls up to 100 lbs. This is a full-time position with benefits on-site at our Modesto, CA facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year packaging experience within a food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to comfortably operate standard warehouse equipment, including proficient operation of standup forklift and load move system.

Responsibilities

• Verifies product being bagged against labels being printed.
• Verifies batch with Supervisor as needed
• Affixes labels to bags and neatly stacks them onto pallet while maintaining packaging line standards.
• Continuous pulling / lifting and carrying of bags weighing up to 55 lbs.
• Assist in bagging of product as needed and push/pull up to 55+ lbs.
• Assist in dumping of product as needed with up to 100+ lbs push/pull.
• Completes paperwork as needed.
• Maintain product integrity.
• Assist in inventory and cycle counts.
• Keep area and equipment clean; follow LOTO procedures when cleaning equipment.
• Follow good manufacturing practices and safety rules.
