Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a production operator to help run bottling and packaging lines in a food manufacturing setting. You will ensure labeling accuracy, manage capping, shrink wrapping, and palletizing finished products while maintaining GMP compliance and a clean, safe workspace.

Responsibilities include following daily production schedules, operating labeling and packaging equipment, and coordinating with the supervisor on safety, quality, and downtime issues.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in GMP and food safety practices.
• Experience in food manufacturing or a similar regulated production environment.
• Ability to follow departmental procedures and maintain logs.

Responsibilities

• Receive the daily production schedule and materials from the lead.
• Load caps, set up the line, monitor speed and cap tightness, and adjust as needed.
• Set up labeling cell, configure the Domino printer with lot/date info, and run test labels for approval.
• Operate automatic labelers and switch to manual labeling when required.
• Prepare shrink wrap station and adjust film, sleeve length, and heat-seal parameters.
• Move materials through the line, palletize finished cases, and ensure correct packaging.
• Inspect Flo-coated products for descriptions, weigh and seal products, and confirm target weights.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety; sanitize surfaces and equipment; keep area organized.
• Record downtime, track inventory movements, and communicate with supervisor on issues.
• Be flexible to assist other departments and contribute to process improvements.
