Job summary

Plochman, Inc. in Manteno, IL is seeking a production associate responsible for supplying and removing materials to and from all areas of the production line.

You will handle bottles, cartons, and product while emphasizing safety and quality in a fast-paced environment. Duties include assisting start-up and shut-down of equipment, loading product into cartons, performing quality inspections, sanitation, and documenting activities in the computer system.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Effective verbal, listening, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work well with other departments in the company.
• Ability to work off shifts, weekends, and holidays if required.
• Self- directed
• Good attendance
• Knowledge of manufacturing environment and practices.

Responsibilities

• Dump empty bottles into hoppers, load bottles onto conveyors, remove liner, knock down cartons and stack pallets to maintain packaging productivity and quality guidelines.
• Assist in the start-up and shut down of production equipment.
• Stack full cases of product off the packaging line onto pallets to maintain productivity and quality guidelines.
• Load product into cartons.
• Follow all safety standards.
• Document duties as scheduled in the computer-based system.
• Complete quality inspections per specifications.
• Perform cleaning and sanitation duties as assigned.
• Follow all written and verbal production instructions and priorities.
• Assist in finding coverage for shift to fill in for absences and vacations.
• Maintain good working relationships with co-workers, warehouse personnel, the Production Supervisor and Manager.
• Other duties as assigned.
