Job summary

PepsiCo Inc. is seeking a Packaging Line Operator to run and monitor multiple packaging machines, ensuring accurate dates, weights, and proper bagging of products such as Lay's, Doritos, and Cheetos.

The role requires physical stamina, willingness to work weekends, and basic math with English literacy. You will maintain clean, safe work areas and perform routine maintenance during line changes, while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards to support a fast-paced production

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Willing to work on weekends and holidays.
• 1 year of machine operator experience in a high-speed manuf. environment is favorable.
• Physically able to lift 50 lbs floor-to-waist with/without accommodation.
• Able to stand/walk for extended periods and perform climbing/bending/reaching tasks.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multiple packaging machines to ensure correct codes, weights, and packaging.
• Check products are dated and sealed with minimal waste.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area for product handling.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on packaging machines (cleaning, knife/blade changes, belts, rollers).
• Wear protective gear when using chemicals to clean and sanitize lines during changeovers.
• Inspect conveyors and scales before line start-ups and changeovers.
• Troubleshoot issues and adjust operations as needed.
