Job summary

Fortress Nutrition is hiring a Packaging Line Operator for the 1st shift in our Dry Powder Operations team. You will set up, operate, and maintain packaging equipment, perform real-time quality checks, and document production activity following GMPs.

The role requires 1+ years in food manufacturing, basic shop math, and strong English communication. Overtime and weekend work may be required; compensation is $19.00–$20.00 per hour with weekend and after-50-hours pay rules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ years in food manufacturing with GMPs, sanitation, and allergen controls.
• Basic mathSkills for packaging operations.
• Able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
• Able to work around food allergens, dry powder, dust and wet conditions.
• Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain packaging equipment and related machinery.
• Make adjustments to ensure specs are met.
• Perform real-time quality checks (bag, seal, coding, weight).
• Complete MMRs, production records, and quality docs in real time.
• Monitor equipment and product flow; address faults or slowdowns.
• Report production concerns promptly to supervisor or lead.
• Follow GMPs, safety procedures, and sanitation standards.
• Maintain clean, organized work area.
• Assist with overtime or weekend coverage as needed.
