Tandem Foods in Bloomington, California is seeking a Packaging Lead to coordinate daily with Production Supervisors, Machine Operators and packaging staff to ensure quality and efficient processes of the finished product.

The role requires monitoring production activities, evaluating equipment safety and functionality, maintaining quality standards, and leading teams while upholding safety policies and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical work experience.
• Must be safety cautious.
• Ability to give directions to team members.
• Have good time management skills.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills to relate with all members of the team.
• May be required to stand for long periods of time and involve some repetitive motions.
• May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts and part containers, lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production and packaging teams during production activities to ensure adherence to ethics and safety procedures.
• Evaluate manufacturing equipment for safety and functionality.
• Ensure that products and goods manufactured meet quality standards obtainable in the industry.
• Motivate packaging and production teams to enhance production quantity and at the same time maintain high production standards.
• Check finished products to ensure quality, and that industry standards are met before they are declared ready for use.
• Keep records of personnel performance.
• Keep records of equipment, budgets, deliveries, and supplies, and make them available to management for evaluation.
• Create work schedule for team employees and ensure that they strictly adhere to it; take attendance to ensure regularity and promptness.
• Work as middleman between packaging team and management to create healthy communication. Develop production schedule for the execution of projects in a timely manner.
• Ensure that work materials are present when needed.
• All other duties as assigned
