Job summary

KHS is seeking a Layout Design Engineer in Waukesha, WI to design bottling and packaging production lines that meet customer needs and are cost-effective. You will work under close supervision of senior engineers and translate project specifications into efficient layouts.

Responsibilities include machine placement, conveyor routing, 3D line models, integrating existing and vendor equipment, visiting facilities, creating drawings, and supporting Sales, PM, and Site Install teams.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (AutoCAD and Creo preferred).
• Experience with SAP and MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project).
• Ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and place machines and peripheral equipment for packaging lines per project specs.
• Layout conveyor routing for efficient lines.
• Develop finished scale drawings showing optimal equipment locations and working spaces.
• Integrate customer, vendor, and peripheral equipment into an efficient line.
• Visit facilities to observe plant arrangements and collect measurements as needed.
• Create 3D production line models and process point cloud data for layout development.
• Provide technical guidance to Sales, Project Management, and Site Installation teams.
