Job summary

KHS USA Inc. is seeking a Layout Design Engineer in Waukesha, WI to design efficient packaging lines. You will arrange machinery, route conveyors, and develop layouts that maximize space and throughput, while integrating existing and vendor equipment.

You’ll also perform 3D modeling, laser scans, and data processing to support layout development. The role requires strong CAD skills (AutoCAD, Creo), and experience with SAP and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Ability to deliver proper layouts to the customer.
• Working knowledge of KHS equipment and conveyor routing.
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software; AutoCAD and Creo preferred.
• Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project).
• Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and place machines and peripheral equipment for a packaging line per project specs.
• Layout conveyor routing to optimize flow.
• Develop finished scale drawings showing optimal equipment location and clearances.
• Integrate customer, vendor, and peripheral equipment into an efficient line.
• Visit customer facilities to observe and measure plant arrangements and constraints.
• Create 3D production line models and process point cloud data for layout development.
• Provide technical guidance to Sales, Project Management, and Site Installation teams.
