Job summary

Wyld Packaging Lead in Washington – Tacoma oversees packaging operations and prepares products for distribution, while coaching packaging team members in the absence of a Supervisor.

The role requires training and coaching, shift opening/closing, and a flexible schedule in a fast-paced environment. Wyld emphasizes safety, sanitation, and meeting production targets in an innovative cannabis edible/beverage business.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of directly related experience in a food production or manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience and 1 year of lead or supervisory experience.
• Experience with food manufacturing, sanitation and safety regulations.
• Ability to work with a high sense of urgency.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Slack; Jira or similar tools preferred.
• Must communicate effectively in English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organized, safe work area.
• Perform basic visual quality inspections on products.
• Maintain packaging flow by ensuring adequate product levels at each station.
• Ensure quotas are met by observing Packaging Support team members and coaching.
• Maintain high-quality standards during shifts including QA/QC of all products.
• Communicate discrepancies in quantities or quality of product.
• Open and close shifts; ensure proper storage of consumables and products with safety practices.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards; keep packing area clean and organized.
• Assist with training and coaching Packaging Support employees on procedures and compliance.
• Communicate safety or quality discrepancies to Supervisors/Managers/Directors.
• Assist in personnel evaluations and training for Packaging Support team.
• Support Production Manager or Packaging Supervisor as needed.
