Job summary

Baxter Brewing Co. in Maine is seeking a Packaging Lead to oversee the last step before distribution. You'll lead day-to-day line operations, ensure cans and kegs meet standards, and drive continuous improvement with data-driven insights.

The role combines hands-on floor work with strategic planning, mentoring, and collaboration with other departments. You will manage shifts, maintain quality benchmarks, and represent the brand at events.

Qualifications

• Experience in packaging/production or brewery preferred.
• Supervisory experience on a production line.
• Able to manage cross-functional teams and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and optimize packaging ops, including canning, kegging, and equipment like PakTech and jib crane.
• Create and follow SOPs to ensure safety, quality, and compliance.
• Monitor production, perform preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot to reduce downtime.
• Oversee packaging of cans, kegs, 12-packs, and cases with proper labeling.
• Run data-driven QC and document performance metrics to spot trends.
• Onboard and mentor new team members; foster accountability and continuous learning.
• Maintain clean, safe packaging areas and oversee forklift operations.
