Job summary

Selectemp in Brownsville, OR is hiring a Packaging Laborer to support packaging operations on-site. You will help run bagging and baler equipment, assist with pellet mills, and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency on a 6:00 PM–6:00 AM rotating 2/2/3 schedule. Training occurs on day shift with overtime possible based on demand.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and may bring forklift experience. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and read scales is important for daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior forklift experience or familiarity with production lines is a plus.
• Good hand-eye-foot coordination and ability to read scales/measurements.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.

Responsibilities

• Operate bagging and baler machinery according to safety and efficiency guidelines.
• Assist with starting and stopping pellet mills and report material or moisture issues to the Shift Lead.
• Move, wrap, and stack finished products on pallets for proper warehouse placement.
• Use forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to transport materials safely.
• Complete production reports, fill pellet sample cups, tag pallets, and maintain a clean work area.

Location & Schedule

This position is on-site in Brownsville and offers 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM shifts on a rotating 2/2/3 schedule. Initial training takes place during day shift hours, and built-in and additional overtime may be available based on production demands.
