Job summary

Quanex is seeking a 2nd Shift Packaging/Kit Assembler to join our team in Rice Lake, WI. The role runs Monday through Friday from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm, with a shift differential and opportunities for overtime.

Responsibilities include operating machines, setting up equipment, staging and labeling screens, making boxes/flats, running a stretch wrapper, and performing quality checks while adhering to all safety procedures. A positive attitude and a willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of production, assembly or related work experience preferred.
• Eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor machinery on a 2nd shift.
• Set up equipment and stage/label screens.
• Assemble cardboard boxes and flats as needed.

What Success Looks Like:

• Machine operation
• Set up
• Staging and labeling screens
• Making cardboard boxes/flats
• Running a stretch wrapper
• Quality checks
• Follow all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines; and notify supervisor/team lead of any existing or potential safety issues
• Responsible for attending work on time and for scheduled hours each day.
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

The hourly wage for this position is $18.50/hr + $3/hr shift differential.
