Job summary

Quanex Building Products Corp. in Allentown, PA is seeking anAssembler to cut and assemble window screen frames to changing specs using a computer-driven measuring device. The role runs 6 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with focus on quality, safety, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Keep the work area neat and orderly per 5S standards.
• Follow safety procedures and report potential issues.
• Assist in other areas as workload permits.
• Promote teamwork and support coworkers.
• Complete production documentation accurately.
• Assemble components per customer specifications and quality standards.
• Inspect products for defects or errors during assembly.
• Verify size, color, and configuration using labeling systems.

Quanex is urgently hiring Assemblers tojoin our team located inAllentown, PA.

In this role, you will be responsible for cutting and assembling window screen frames to changing specifications, using a computer-driven measuring device.

Hours of Operation: 6 am to 2:30pm Monday thru Friday

What Success Looks Like:

• Monitor products constantly to ensure quality standards.
• Maintains the work area in a neat and orderly condition in compliance with 5S standards.
• Follows safety procedures and guidelines; and notifies others of existing or potential safety issues.
• Assist in other work areas when workload permits or requires.
• Promote teamwork by cooperating and supporting co-workers.
• Thoroughly complete all documentation, such as production reports.
• Assemble various components based on customer specifications and quality standards.
• Thoroughly inspect products for defects or errors.
• Verify size, color, and configuration of production utilizing labeling systems.

Your Credentials:

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 6 months of production, assembly or related work experience preferred.
• Ability to use hand tools including tape measure, air drill, and pneumatics saws.
• Ability to follow both written and verbal communication.

The hourly wage for this position is $18.50, with bonus potential.
