Job summary

Solvita in the United States is seeking candidates for a Second Shift role (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) focused on tissue processing and contract shipments. Starting pay is $18 per hour with a 10% shift differential for the second shift, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading tissue grafts, maintaining freezer inventory with traceability, labeling, quality checks, and assisting with contract shipments.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Color vision required.
  • Heavy lifting required.
  • Must follow directions, work independently and function as a team member.
  • Must report numbers accurately and work in a highly detailed environment with minimal errors.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, processing methods, and sterile technique preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload tissue grafts from freeze dryer.
  • Maintain an orderly freezer inventory and use inventory tracking software for traceability.
  • Prepare and receive tissue grafts for/from irradiation.
  • Print labels and label tissue grafts accurately and compliantly.
  • Inspect grafts for quality, packaging integrity and documentation accuracy.
  • Assist with preparation of contract shipments.
  • Copy records for contract shipments and ensure completeness.
  • Monitor freeze dryer cycles for optimal output.
  • Perform data entry and filing for document control.
  • Receive and account for whole donors released to manufacturing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Second Shift: Monday - Friday 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Starting pay $18 per hour + 10% Shift differential for second shift.

PRIMARY PURPOSE

Participates in all lot processing, contract shipping, labeling and tissue quarantine.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  1. Load and unload tissue grafts from freeze dryer.
  2. Maintain an orderly freezer inventory to ensure ease of access to all grafts. Use inventory tracking and scan checking software to ensure traceability and proper identification.
  3. Prepare and receive tissue grafts for/from irradiation.
  4. Print labels and label tissue grafts ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  5. Inspect grafts for quality, packaging integrity, and accuracy of documentation.
  6. Assist with preparation of contract shipments.
  7. When applicable, copy all records for contract shipments an ensure completeness and accuracy.
  8. Monitor freeze drier cycles to ensure optimal output.
  9. Perform supportive document control functions including data entry and filing.
  10. Receive and account for whole donors that have been released to manufacturing.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
