Job summary

Barr Brands International, Inc. in Memphis, TN is seeking a Packaging Development Manager to own the technical packaging strategy for plastic bottles, closures, and dispensing devices across multiple brands.

You will translate chemistry and performance specs into packaging requirements and lead supplier co-development. The role partners with R&D, Operations, QA/QC, Regulatory, Artwork, and Commercial teams to deliver compliant, manufacturable packaging solutions and drive continuous improvements

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical packaging-related field.
5+ years of progressive Packaging R&D/Development experience in consumer packaged goods.
Experience with plastic bottles and dispensing systems and with packaging that interfaces with chemical formulations.
Lead supplier co-development and cross-functional execution across Sourcing, Ops, QA/QC, Regulatory, Artwork, Commercial.

Responsibilities

Own and drive performance, robustness, and manufacturability improvements for existing packaging systems.
Lead supplier technical engagement and drive co-development with external partners.
Design and execute qualification/validation plans for bottle and dispensing systems.
Maintain and update internal packaging specification systems and master data.
Support secondary and tertiary packaging to improve distribution performance.
