Job summary

Bayer in Whippany, NJ is seeking a Packaging Operations and Innovation Co-Op to support packaging materials, processes, and development initiatives. The role collaborates with the PX team, site packaging engineers, and cross-functional partners to drive packaging projects from concept through implementation.

Responsibilities include supporting innovations, product lifecycle tasks, data analysis, and effective information transfer to manufacturing sites and CMOs.

Qualifications

• Completion of at least one year, preferably two years, of undergraduate studies in Packaging, Packaging Science, Packaging Engineering, Packaging Technology, or a related discipline.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Packaging, Packaging Science, Packaging Engineering, Packaging Technology, or a related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Excellent organizational skills; ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Support packaging studies and development projects across lifecycle.
• Deliver assigned tasks on time and in full.
• Assist in technical transfer to manufacturing sites and CMOs.
• Contribute to cross-functional project teams and change management activities.
• Coordinate drawings, testing, qualification, line trials, BOM development, and third-party qualifications.
• Analyze packaging component data and support sustainability goals.
