Job summary

Saint-Gobain/CertainTeed is seeking an Assistant Machine Operator to safely support a vinyl siding production line, assist extrusion operations and packaging of finished products. You will maintain a 6S-compliant work area and document quality checks to support traceability.

During training you work with Helper Trainers and Supervisors; once fully qualified, the role progresses to an Extruder Operator Helper with a path toward a future Extruder Operator.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing/industrial experience.
• Basic computer skills required; technical school preferred.
• Forklift/mobile equipment license preferred.
• Experience with hand tools and measuring devices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks and follow procedures, keeping work areas clean.
• Package products to specification, label, seal, palletize, and load for warehouse.
• Monitor product quality, assist with line checks, and manage materials.
• Identify and report defects, ensuring ISO 9001 and SPC compliance.
