Job summary

PCI Pharma Services in Rockford, IL, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic 2 for the 1st shift (Mon–Fri, 6:45am–3:00pm). The role involves installing, troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing equipment, while promoting a safe work environment and supporting internal customers to meet site goals.

Essential duties include adjusting packaging lines, preventive maintenance, changeovers, diagnosing problems, reading manuals, and coordinating with the Business Units to schedule launches.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years maintenance experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Basic math and computer skills; able to run common software.
• Ability to read standard documents and manuals.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Packaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support packaging lines with routine and non-routine adjustments.
• Collaborate with maintenance team to keep lines running efficiently.
• Perform preventive maintenance, changeovers, repairs, and running adjustments.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
• Escalate safety or quality issues per protocol.
• Maintain a clean, safe 5S workplace.
