Job summary

New Belgium Brewing Company is seeking a Packaging Line Operator for a 3rd shift (6pm–6am, Sun–Tue and alternating Saturdays). The role involves operating high-speed packaging lines, performing start-up and shutdown, and troubleshooting equipment to maintain production flow.

You will load/unload materials, drive a forklift, perform QA sampling, and ensure compliance with SOPs while maintaining a clean work environment. Training of teammates and safety are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with high-speed production equipment desired.
• Solid mechanical skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read reports, instructions, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate, start up, run, and shut down packaging lines.
• Troubleshoot equipment and production issues; adjust as needed.
• Engage in quality assurance activities (sampling, testing, sensory evaluation).
• Load/unload material and finished product; drive forklift as needed.
• Ensure clean, safe work environment and follow SOPs; train new personnel as needed.

Job description

The position is responsible for operating and maintaining high-speed packaging lines.This is a 3rd shift position, with the working hours of 6pm-6am, Sunday-Tues and every other Saturday. Between the hours of 6pm-6am, there is an additional $6.00 shift differential added to the base wage of this position.Essential Duties:• Conducts machine start-up, operation, and shutdown relevant to equipment area• Conducts initial troubleshooting of equipment and production issues and makes appropriate adjustment as needed• Engages in quality assurance activities (corrective action, sensory evaluation, sampling, testing, etc.)• Loads/unloads material and finished product, including driving fork lifts• Ensures clean work environment• Adheres to SOG’s (Standard Operating Guidelines) and checklists• Trains new personnel and other team members when needed• Other duties as assignedEducation/ Experience/Skills:• Previous experience with high-speed production equipment desired• Solid mechanical skills• Basic computer skills• Ability to read reports, instructions, and proceduresPhysical Requirements:• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs. overhead and 44• lbs. carried 10 feet.• Ability to push/pull weights up to 76 lbs. across 100 feet, and maintain the grip strength required to carry objects including cases and empty kegs (31.5 lbs.).• Must also show fine motor dexterity.• Ability to demonstrate their ability to climb, stoop, crawl, twist, squat and reach overhead.• The position requires frequent, constant standing and walkingWorking Conditions: Production AreasWage information is provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and is Bell’s and New Belgium's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range and benefits offered for this position.
