Job summary

Abbott Laboratories in Tipp City, OH, is seeking a role in the Nutrition manufacturing division to safely operate packaging equipment and support maintenance activities. You will be trained across department equipment and responsible for troubleshooting issues before escalating to Maintenance.

The position emphasizes adherence to PM schedules, safety procedures, and hands-on maintenance tasks to ensure efficient production at Abbott Nutrition facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating packaging equipment.
• Basic troubleshooting skills and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the equipment located in your department.
• Become fully trained on all pieces of equipment in your department.
• Be responsible for troubleshooting equipment when issues arise prior to calling Maintenance.
• Safely, efficiently, and ergonomically use hand tools and power tools.
• Trained to replace chains, sprockets, guides, bearings, and wear parts as needed.
• Become familiar with PM, inspection, and safety procedures.
• Perform PMs on equipment in your area, starting weekly and moving to longer cycles.
• Perform routine repairs, adjustments, setup, and rebuilds on manufacturing equipment in the Packaging department.
• Maintain all assigned hand tools, equipment, Power tools, and shop equipment.
• Maintain specified machines to prevent downtime or unnecessary repairs.
• Follow training plan outlined by Operations, Maintenance, and Technical Training.
