Abbott Columbus Plant is seeking a Production Operator to safely run high-speed packaging lines for nutrition products. You will start up and shut down equipment per procedures, monitor performance, and report issues to the supervisor.

The role emphasizes quality checks, accurate documentation, and adherence to safety standards. The position requires a high school diploma or GED with prior manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to maintain materials and records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior manufacturing/production experience is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to communicate line information to production and support groups.
• Ability to maintain materials supply and track usage.
• Knowledge of safety and 5S principles.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate high-speed production equipment.
• Start up and shutdown equipment per procedures and clear jams.
• Report abnormal equipment or product issues to Supervisor.
• Maintain inventory of packaging materials and complete work orders.
• Perform quality checks and troubleshoot equipment.
• Ensure safe operations and report incidents or hazards.
• Keep area clean and organized using 5S.
• Adhere to product isolation procedures and proper ID.
• Ensure correct codes and expiration dates on products and materials.
• Comply with FDA, GMP, OSHA and Abbott/Ross regulations.
