Job summary

Abbott, a global healthcare leader, seeks an Associate Packaging Engineer in Columbus, OH. You will perform primary and secondary packaging testing, develop and optimize packaging concepts, and collaborate across Packaging Ops, Labeling, Procurement and QA to deliver robust packaging solutions.

Responsibilities include test method development, validation, and transfer, with 20% travel and opportunities to contribute to capital projects and manufacturability improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in packaging, engineering or related technical field.
• Experience in packaging testing, materials and structures is preferred.
• Ability to lead cross-functional projects and communicate effectively.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Execute primary and secondary packaging testing for R&D and operations.
• Develop packaging concepts through commercialization and cost optimization.
• Prepare test reports and support test method development/validation.
• Collaborate with Packaging Ops, Labeling, Procurement and QA.
• Lead capital projects and provide technical input for manufacturing.
• Coordinate packaging test method transfer to manufacturing sites.
