Job summary

Bigelow Tea is seeking a qualified Mechanic for the day shift (Monday-Thursday, 5:30am-4:00pm) in Boise, ID. The role involves setting up, repairing, and maintaining packaging production line equipment, following GMPs and safety rules.

The successful candidate will have prior experience with packaging machinery repair and preventive maintenance. This full-time, on-site position offers a competitive hourly wage of $23.25 and requires ability to read manuals and work orders to sustain production

Qualifications

Previous experience or demonstrated aptitude in packaging line mechanical equipment repair or equivalent combination of training and experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs.
Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service in accordance with the R.C. Bigelow Progressive Maintenance Program.
Performs mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic trouble shooting and repair of packaging and production machinery.
Performs scheduled preventive maintenance on machines and equipment.
Complete all preventive maintenance reports and log entries on condition of machines.
Ensure that all production and packaging equipment produce product within established QA standards and conduct all assigned quality monitoring functions.
Follow GMPs and safety rules.
