Job summary

NOW Foods is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain machinery and electromechanical equipment across packaging, processing, distribution and plant infrastructure. You will train and mentor junior maintenance mechanics while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Ideal candidates bring strong troubleshooting skills, familiar with CMMS, and the ability to read drawings and work from sketches.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent plus two years of related experience, or five years of related experience.
• Strong knowledge in machine troubleshooting, electrical, mechanical, fabrication, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Familiarity with OSHA standards, cGMP practices, and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Experience in food or pharmaceutical industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, maintain, repair, lubricate and troubleshoot high-speed packaging machinery and related equipment.
• Perform predictive and preventive maintenance as per CMMS guidelines.
• Maintain and troubleshoot AC/DC electrical equipment and plant systems.
• Fabricate components using shop equipment (lathe, mill, drill, brake, shear, band saw, welding).
• Assist engineering with new equipment installation and read drawings or sketches.
• Collaborate with support teams to resolve machine or personnel issues.
• Manage spare parts inventory and help keep shop areas clean and organized.
• Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• May perform work in other areas such as building maintenance as needed.
• Comply with safety and cGMP policies; wear PPE as directed.
