Job summary

Spectrum Brands Home & Garden division seeks a packaging designer to support protective and Creative packaging and retail displays. You will help develop BOMs, coordinate with internal packaging facilities, and assist with cost improvements.

Collaborating with Marketing, Finance, and the Creative graphics team, you will prepare specifications, prototypes, mockups, and renderings to bring concepts to life and ensure manufacturability and retail readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience designing protective and creative structural packaging for retail
• Ability to create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and material specs
• Experience coordinating projects with internal packaging facilities and vendors
• Ability to identify cost improvement opportunities and support finance
• Experience supporting marketing and sales with technical specs, prototypes, and renderings

Responsibilities

• Help design and develop protective and creative packaging and displays for retail presentation and distribution
• Manage packaging performance and distribution testing to ensure integrity through distribution
• Create and manage packaging and material specifications for components, packout, and palletization
• Develop production BOMs to define materials and operations processes
• Coordinate projects with internal packaging facilities to improve manufacturability and efficiency
• Assist with quotations and cost estimates for Marketing and Finance teams
• Evaluate and implement cost improvement opportunities
• Support Marketing and Sales with technical specs, prototypes, renderings, and presentations
• Collaborate with Creative graphics team to provide specifications for manufacturing programs
• Assist with administrative duties aligned with Purchasing strategies
