Pratt Industries is seeking a packaging intern who will work closely with the General Manager, Sales Manager, Customer Service Manager, and Design Manager to learn design, production, sales, and quality in a manufacturing environment. You will lead projects and gain hands-on experience on the shop floor.

The role involves learning machinery, improving efficiency, and serving customers while developing strong relationships with plant staff and management.

• Work in a location that produces product.
• Learn the machinery and suggest ideas for efficiency improvements.
• Service existing accounts by improving the buying experience of customers in every transaction.
• Develop strong relationships with Managers and Production Employees.
• Coordinate with design, quality, and customer service personnel to learn machine capabilities.
• Develop expert knowledge of products, machine limitations, and costing variables to be an effective packaging consultant.
• Spend time on the manufacturing floor, learning how to run machines and understand production scheduling and material flow.
• Observe downtime and suggest ideas to improve efficiencies.
• Work with your mentor on a summer project to present to Pratt Executive Management.
