Job description

We are a national staffing firm currently seeking a Project/Packaging Engineer for a prominent client. This position is located in Millsboro, DE. Details for the position are as follows:

1. Pay rate up to $46/hr based on experience.
2. This is an onsite position.
3. 12+ month contract.
4. The manager assumes responsibility for the complete life cycle of packaging solutions, including development, validation, and implementation, focusing on the Millsboro manufacturing site. Responsibilities include projects involving new packaging, issue resolution, and enhancement initiatives. You will steer projects to successful completion and evaluate the implications of implementing packaging solution standards.
5. You will oversee ongoing implementation and standardization projects and initiate new initiatives aligned with the packaging strategy. Additionally, you will participate as a subject matter expert in capex projects.
6. Close collaboration is essential, involving coordination with R&D Product Development, Global Engineering Services, Global Supplier Management, site filling and packaging departments, and external suppliers of packaging materials and equipment.
7. Education Minimum Requirement: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a similar technical field, such as Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Science, Packaging Engineering, Chemistry, or related fields.
8. Experience in packaging equipment.
9. Experience with primary and secondary packaging.
10. Proven project leadership/management and complex problem-solving skills.
11. Ability to identify potential risks to business success and generate gap analysis.
12. Good interpersonal skills, including flexibility and the ability to work in a team environment.
