Job summary

YETI is seeking a Packaging Engineer in Austin, Texas. You will support the design and development of premium out-of-box experiences for YETI products, focusing on performance, sustainability, and cost.

You will document packaging specs, lead trials, and collaborate across Marketing, Sourcing, Operations and International teams to deliver on-time packaging solutions. You will develop packaging materials, maintain a real-time material matrix, and contribute to PLM rollouts while staying current

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Packaging or Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
2+ years’ experience in a Packaging Engineering role preferred.
Familiarity with ISTA & ASTM packaging testing methods and packaging software.

Responsibilities

Develop and optimize packaging solutions for new and existing products.
Lead development of packaging solutions for selected categories.
Document packaging specifications and assembly instructions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute on-time packaging.
Plan and conduct packaging performance testing and trials with proper documentation.
Drive packaging efficiencies with logistics, retail and manufacturing partners.
Support PLM inputs and maintain real-time packaging material matrix.
