Job summary

I3 INFOTEK INC in Austin, TX is seeking a lead packaging engineer to steer end-to-end packaging projects for vehicle and energy platforms, coordinating with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, NPI and Operations.

You will apply CAD and GD&T techniques, manage budgets and risks, drive supplier selection, and advance world-class packaging standards while focusing on quality, manufacturability, and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with evidence of exceptional ability
• Experience with CAD and technical drawings including GD&T
• Familiarity with machining, welding, injection molding etc.
• Experience with ASTM, Mil-Spec, etc.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end packaging projects for Vehicle and Energy platforms.
• Interface with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, NPI, and Operations to gather packaging requirements.
• Partner with Supply Chain and Logistics to optimize delivery while maintaining quality.
• Provide design direction and development plans for packaging containers, dunnage, and unique shipping racks—domestic and international.
• Apply industrial design techniques of CAD, technical drawings including datum structure, GD&T and tolerance stack up analysis.
• Monitor KPIs and work with Packaging Design Engineers to develop world-class packaging standards and continue to improve upon them.
