Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive Company is seeking a Packaging Engineering Intern/Co-op to support packaging development for Hill’s Pet Nutrition. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver consumer‑centric packaging that meets performance, cost, and manufacturability targets.

Responsibilities include project execution from concept through scale‑up, performing LCAs, analyzing test data, and supporting technology transfer to manufacturing while preserving product integrity and visual appeal.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering/Science or Materials Science.
• GPA minimum 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale).
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with CAD or related software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support packaging project execution from concept to commercialization.
• Assist with Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and provide recommendations.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product Development, Marketing, Design, and Supply Chain.
• Help ensure cost targets, functionality, manufacturability, and material compatibility with formulations.
• Prepare technical summaries, test results, and business impact communication.
