Job summary

Liebherr Mining Equipment Newport News Co. is seeking a Packaging Engineer/Logistics Project Manager to design, develop, and establish packaging solutions and standards.

The role also oversees projects to improve warehouse infrastructure, material flow and upgrades to warehouse systems. The position requires experience across packaging methods, project management, and lean manufacturing, with responsibilities spanning from design reviews to KPI development and multi-department collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or Logistics Management (B.A. or B.S.) or AS in engineering related discipline with two years of packaging and/or logistics experience.
• Working knowledge of packaging materials and processes.
• Knowledge of ERP LN system as it relates to mining truck BOM structure and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and establishes packaging solutions and standards.
• Manage projects to improve warehouse infrastructure, material flow and warehouse system upgrades.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives in packaging and logistics.
