Trove Brands is seeking a Packaging Engineer to own the packaging architecture across our product portfolio. You will collaborate with Industrial Design, Marketing, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and International Sales to create robust, scalable, and compliant packaging solutions for domestic and global distribution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.
• 3 to 7 years of experience in packaging engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of packaging materials, design, and distribution environments.
• Hands-on experience with packaging validation and shipping test methodologies.
• Experience with overseas manufacturing partners and OEM suppliers.
• Knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations and labeling requirements.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and engineering documentation systems.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, and own structural packaging solutions across primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging.
• Create and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for all packaging components.
• Collaborate with factories and OEM packaging teams to develop, validate, and implement packaging at scale.
• Ensure packaging designs are manufacturable, repeatable, and aligned with factory capabilities.
• Lead and execute shipping/testing, including drop, compression, vibration, and environmental testing.
• Own packaging performance across all shipping modes including parcel, LTL, FTL, and international freight.
• Maintain understanding of case sizes, weights, palletization, and cube efficiency for domestic and international programs.
• Ensure packaging meets shipping regulations, carrier requirements, and labeling standards.
• Understand retailer requirements and update packaging for compliance and smooth retail execution.
• Own technical specifications for labels, adhesives, tapes, and application methods.
• Collaborate on regional labeling requirements and market-specific packaging needs.
• Partner with Industrial Design and Marketing to translate concepts into sound, compliant packaging.
• Work with Supply Chain to optimize packaging for cost, durability, sustainability, and throughput.
• Develop packaging test protocols and documentation within PLM or related systems.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on packaging performance and cost reduction.
