Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in packaging engineering or related role within consumer or durable goods.
• Strong understanding of packaging materials, structural design, and distribution environments.
• Hands-on experience with packaging validation and shipping test methodologies.
• Experience collaborating with overseas manufacturing partners and OEM suppliers.
• Knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations and labeling requirements.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and engineering documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, and own structural packaging solutions across primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging.
• Create and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for all packaging components.
• Partner with factories and OEM packaging teams to scale packaging solutions.
• Ensure packaging designs are manufacturable, repeatable, and aligned with capabilities.
• Lead shipping and distribution testing (drop, compression, vibration, environmental).
• Own packaging performance across parcel, LTL, FTL, and international freight.
• Maintain understanding of case sizes, weights, palletization, and cube efficiency.
• Ensure packaging meets shipping regulations and regional labeling standards.
