Job summary

Amgen is hiring an Engineer - Packaging to design, qualify, and implement primary and secondary packaging components and systems. You will support manufacturing operations, troubleshoot issues, and drive process improvements across global supply and new product introductions.

The role requires a Master’s in Engineering (or a Bachelor’s with 2 years’ experience) and experience with packaging materials, drawings, and GMP practices. English and Spanish communication skills are valued.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Engineering or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 2 years of engineering experience
Experience in packaging engineering within Pharma/Biotech is preferred
Strong ability to create and modify engineering drawings in AutoCAD/SolidWorks/Illustrator

Responsibilities

Apply engineering principles to design and qualification of primary and secondary packaging components and systems
Provide engineering support for manufacturing and packaging operations; troubleshoot issues and implement process improvements
Perform distribution testing per ASTM D4169 and test to ISO/EP/USP standards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support commercial and development activities
Lead testing and documentation for packaging materials and deviations/validation activities
