Job summary

The Pivot Group Network is actively seeking a Packaging Engineer in East Lansing to design, develop, and test packaging for current and new products. You will collaborate with product, manufacturing, and marketing teams to ensure packaging meets all requirements and supports sustainability goals.

The role demands 3–5 years in packaging development/engineering, a strong CAD background (SolidWorks/AutoCAD), and a track record of optimizing cost and performance across materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or related technical field.
• 3–5 years of packaging development/engineering in manufacturing.
• Experience with plastics, paperboard, flexibles, or glass packaging.
• Proficient in CAD tools for packaging design.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test packaging for new and existing products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet product and manufacturing specs.
• Optimize packaging for cost, sustainability, and supply chain efficiency.
• Create and maintain packaging specifications, BOMs, and drawings.
• Conduct packaging line trials and provide technical support during production.
• Evaluate new packaging materials, technologies, and equipment.
