Job summary

JAKKS Pacific is seeking a hands-on Designer to join our Creative Services Division in Santa Monica. You’ll produce production-ready packaging files for print and conceptualize innovative packaging for licensed and in-house products under the Director’s direction.

You will design logos, branding, displays, advertising and websites, while coordinating with art directors, marketing and product teams to fulfill sale sample requests and post final mechanical art to vendors, ensuring brand

Qualifications

• 2–3 years graphic design/packaging development experience within consumer products or toy industries
• Degree in Packaging/Graphic Design, Illustration or related field
• Expert in Adobe CS Photoshop & Illustrator; Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Prepare production-ready packaging files for print
• Design & conceptualize innovative packaging for licensed and in-house consumer products under the direction of the Director
• Design logos, branding, retail & trade show displays, advertising, websites and other marketing/sales materials
• Coordinate with art director, marketing, and product teams for completion of sale sample requests
• Post final mechanical art to the Hong Kong team or domestic vendors
• Maintain adherence to existing branding and style guides across media
• Create/adjust dielines for package and POP structures
• Create package comps/mock-ups for presentations and production
• Demonstrate strong mechanical/production skills with typography, layout and design
